Germany is setting a bad example.

Notwithstanding the fact that countries with high vaccination rates very often have high incidence rates at the same time¹, in Germany increases the pressure on people who don't want to get vaccinated.

Head of the Chancellor's Office Helge Braun (CDU), for whom the Corona virus could probably be less life-threatening than obesity, let it be known via "Bild am Sonntag" on 25 July that unvaccinated people would have to reckon with the restriction of their liberties from September onwards. This was necessary so that the health system would not collapse.

Bormann, a member of the Ethics Council, dutifully joins in: vaccine refusers cannot "hold the entire world responsible."

The vaccination turbos also think they are on the safe side legally. Section 28c of the Vaccination Protection Act allows relief for vaccinated persons.

Wait a minute. Why do you get vaccinated? So you're immune. If you're immune, you can't be infected. That's the way it's always been. And now the vaccinated have to be protected? Then why vaccinate?

Even in Germany, however, you can still find people who think somewhat straight. Kubicki, the deputy federal chairman of the FDP, considers restrictions on non-vaccinated people to be an "introduction of compulsory vaccination through the back door" and calls it "clearly unconstitutional". And Armin Laschet, the CDU's candidate for chancellor, puts it bluntly: "I don't think anything of compulsory vaccination, and I don't think anything of putting indirect pressure on people to get vaccinated." ²

So let's wait and see! Vaccines, it was originally said, would prevent infection to 90%. But in the meantime, those responsible in politics and the pharmaceutical companies are backpedaling: Vaccination only protects against severe courses.

Also in the Switzerland the politicians are slowly warming up. At least the health personnel should be obliged, or rather forced, to vaccinate. And the canton of Zurich is moving ahead with the announcement that teachers are also to be obliged to vaccinate. The Requirement for labelling and separate rooms for the non-vaccinated - you could also read such monstrosities.

What a relief to then hear Prof. Brenner, Professor of Philosophy at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland, give a clear critique of the morally charged debate on compulsory vaccination³. Everything is subordinated to absolute health protection. And a stigmatization: "catastrophic"!

If we think the health protection narrative further, we have to ask why then smokers, extreme athletes, full-figured people are not also held accountable.

Or is that what we're facing?
